Yapply Terms of Service

Effective date: July 3, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Gideon Tyberg ("Yapply", "we", "us") governing your use of the Yapply app and services. By creating an account or using Yapply, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Yapply.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use Yapply. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are able to form a binding contract.

2. Your account

You sign in through a third-party provider. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Notify us at support@yapplyapp.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use and zero tolerance for objectionable content

You agree that you will not post, send, or share content, or engage in conduct, that:

• is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, or that promotes violence or discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic;
• is sexually explicit, or that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors in any way;
• is defamatory, invasive of privacy, or infringes anyone's intellectual property or other rights;
• contains malware, spam, or attempts to defraud, phish, or scam other users;
• impersonates any person or misrepresents your affiliation with anyone;
• attempts to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts.

4. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

Yapply gives every user tools to control their experience and to flag abuse:

• Report any message or user directly in the app. Reports are reviewed and acted on.
• Block any user to stop all contact from them.
• Mute conversations or users you don't want notifications from.

We may review reported content and take action — including removing content and suspending or terminating accounts — and we act on reports of objectionable content as quickly as we reasonably can. We may also remove content or restrict accounts that we believe violate these Terms.

5. Your content

You own the content you create on Yapply. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, transmit, and display your content solely to operate and provide the service (for example, delivering your messages to the people you send them to and backing them up). This license ends when your content or account is deleted, except for residual copies in encrypted backups as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for your content and must have the rights necessary to share it.

6. Termination

You may stop using Yapply and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

7. Disclaimers

Yapply is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yapply and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in that state, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

10. Apple App Store — additional terms

If you download Yapply from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Yapply only, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-parties list.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
